Note: Colliers were reclassed as Fuel Ships in 1912 so that the class could also include the Navy's new tank ships (oilers). The two types were separated when the Navy's standard hull classification scheme was implemented on 17 Jul 20. AC 13-17, not having been built by the Navy, did not receive collier or fuel ship numbers.
