S.S. Atlantida or S.S. Amapala

These two refrigerated passenger and cargo ships were completed in 1924 to carry bananas from Honduras to the United States.

S.S. Amapala

A colorized post card showing Atlantida's sister Amapala operating during the 1920s or 1930s.
Amapala was torpedoed and sunk in the Gulf of Mexico in May 1942.
