Class. After a plan to build 600nhp engines for this sail frigate on the ways at Rochefort fell through, machinery for her was added 10.58 to a contract of 6.58 with Schneider for 5 other 600nhp frigate engines. She was converted on plans by de Lisleferme and Lebelin de Dionne completed in late 1858.
Disposal. Sémiramis became a headquarters hulk at Landévennec near Brest and was BU 1895. She was replaced successively by the frigate
Magicienne, the cruiser
Aréthuse, and the station battleship
Victorieuse, all of which assumed her name.
