At Kodiak, Alaska, on 27 February 1943. This was one of the pair of requisitioned Norwegian 3300-ton ships that preceded the four Danish 3800-ton ships that were precursors to Design 1049. She was delivered on 7 March 1918 and was probably refitted with the four tall masts shown here as a lumber carrier when owned by a lumber company in the 1920s or 1930s. Note the lumber in the wells with boats on top forward. Point Loma had been delivered to the EFC on 7 March 1918, followed by Point Arena on 30 May 1918.
