One tanker of 9000 tons dwt. building for Standard Oil Co. of New Jersey, later reconveyed to owners.

S.S. Trontolite (Yard no. 11)

Probably shown around the beginning of 1942. The white portions of the bridge house are probably recently installed war modifications, including a gun position over each bridge wing and a strengthened or armored pilot house. She had been delivered to the EFC and simultaneously reconveyed to Standard Oil of New Jersey on 2 January 1918.

This was one of two earlier sisters of Trontolite that were delivered to Standard Oil before August 1917, the other being S. V. Harkness (Yard no. 3). She is shown here departing a U.S. port on 21 July 1943.
