Extract from an inboard profile and deck plan issued in May 1917 by J. W. Millard & Bro. of New York, who designed the two ships for Tampa Shipbuilding. They were conventional small three-island freighters rigged initially with two single derrick posts and one radio mast which soon became two regular masts.
