Preliminary design plan prepared by the Bureau of Ships during preparation of what became the Des Moines (CA-134) class heavy cruiser design.
This plan is dated 1 October 1943. It features details on the ship's armor protection and internal subdivision.
Scale of the original drawing is 1/32" = 1'.

The original plan is in the 1939-1944 "Spring Styles Book".
