Class Notes:
Two final net laying ships were ordered under the Offshore Procurement (OSP) Program for NATO allies in 1957 and 1959. They were built in a West German yard to a new design which, although differing in many details including appearance, had characteristics and a layout very close to those of the AN 93 and AN 94 classes. They were dropped from the Naval Vessel Register as soon as they were delivered without formal USN strike dates.
