USS Acontius (AGP-12)
Photographed by a blimp from NAS Lakehurst, N. J. The ship appears complete, suggesting that the date of 12 May 1944 in the original caption is at least a month too early. Note the cradle for repairing PT boats on deck forward under the ship's 50-ton main boom.
